Fishing Charter
The rich waters surrounding Tofino have an amazing variety of year round fishing opportunities. We offer fishing packages that range from prawning the beautiful calm inlets of Clayoquot Sound to chasing giant Halibut in the offshore waters. So if you want to target our traditional Salmon and Halibut or mix things up and diversify, we will give you expert advice on when to book your next trip.
Our Seasons
Spring (March, April, May)
During the spring months our fisheries begin to build as Salmon runs migrate down the coast headed to their home rivers to spawn. Chinook can be found feeding along the surfline and inside the sheltered waters of Clayoquot Sound. Bottomfish fisheries also begin to open during this time with Halibut typically opening March 1 and Lingcod April 1. Targeting these species can be extremely productive in the early season. Prawns are crabs round out the spring options.
Summer (June, July, August)
Summer months are prime time in local waters. Chinook Salmon runs are peaking along with abundant Coho both inshore and offshore. Calmer weather allows us to access Halibut and other bottom fish species offshore.
Fall (September, October and November)
Early fall sees abundant Coho Salmon arriving inside the nearby inside waters. As the storms begin to roll in during early October we transition to our winter fisheries targeting feeder Chinook, Crabs and Prawns.
Winter (December, January and February)
Often overlooked, these months can provide a very productive day on the waters of Clayoquot Sound. Enjoy the warm heated cabin while fishing with views of the surrounding snowcapped mountains. Resident Chinook can be targeted in sheltered inside waters. Crab and Prawns are also plentiful.
